The astonishing benefits of the Laburnum Tree

Tabex is developed naturally on the basis of Cytisine contained in the plant Cytisus laburnum (Golden Rain acacia)

Cytisine and the Laburnum Tree

Cytisine, a plant extract which is commonly used in eastern Europe to help with cravings of smoking related habits appears to be much better at the task than nicotine replacement patches and gums.

Not to be confused with the DNA building block cytosine, cytisine is an alkaloid extract from the laburnum or golden rain tree (Laburnum anagyroides), which grows in warm climates in various parts of Europe.  Cytisine works by blocking nicotine’s access to the brain’s pleasure receptors.

Like nicotine, cytisine is toxic when ingested in large amounts (just like any other plant based extract) but is safe at low doses. Cytisine has been produced in Eastern European countries for decades mainly Poland and Bulgaria and has been used as a quitting aid in eastern European countries since the 1960s but is largely unknown elsewhere. Tabex is a Trademark of Sopharma Pharmaceuticals based in Sofia, Bulgaria who invented Tabex and first launched it in the 70’s.

Clinical studies show that therapy with the preparation of Tabex® results in individuals giving up smoking in more than 57% of patients.

Cytisine has properties similar to nicotine but at a lower toxicity rate. Tabex® manifests as one of the best results to date for the help of giving up smoking naturally!

Tabex® is highly tolerated, and used in therapeutic manner, allows a gradual process of giving up smoking without any major side effects. No major side effects have been reported using cytisine and only mild cases show slight stomach upset when used in higher doses.  See clinical studies page.
